Every dead mouse pad died at its edge.
Customized Desk Mats makes mats and pads to order — full-desk sublimated mats, stitched-edge mouse mats, leather and felt desk pads, counter mats and onboarding kits.

Open the drawer where old mouse pads go. The printed surfaces are usually fine. The edges are destroyed — peeled, frayed, curled open at the seam between the top and the rubber.
That autopsy is this company’s founding document. A desk mat has exactly two jobs — lie flat and stay put — and one structural weakness, the raw cut edge. Everything we make starts from those three facts.
So the fabric relaxes dead flat after shipping, the base compound is rated to stay where it was put, the edges are stitched shut, and every one of those behaviours is stated on the quote instead of discovered on the desk.
Why we exist
Three specifications decide whether a mat order works, and none of them appears on a normal listing.
**Flat is a material property.** A mat ships rolled, and cheap material keeps the memory — corner curls forever. Ours is chosen to relax dead flat within a day, and leather pads skip the roll entirely and ship flat in rigid boxes.
**Still is a base property.** Thin or dusty rubber lets a mat migrate a centimetre a day and reads as a crooked business on a reception counter. The compound and its grip on real desk materials are on the quote.
**The edge is the lifespan.** A stitched hem seals the top-to-rubber seam that raw edges expose. It is pennies at production and years at the desk.
What we actually make
Full-desk mats with edge-to-edge dye-sublimation — the largest print canvas in any office. Stitched-edge mouse mats with sensor-true weave. Leather and PU executive pads with corner debosses, sold with leather’s honest behaviours attached. Felt pads that audibly quiet mechanical keyboards. Counter mats for the public side of hotels, clinics and shops. And onboarding kits — matched sets boxed per new hire, reordered forever from one held file.
Every quote states sizes and thickness in millimetres, the base spec, and the branding method matched to the material.
What we do not make
Floor mats and chair mats. Bar runners. Padfolios and folders — there is a specialist site for those. Each is its own product, and we will point you to the right supplier rather than sell you the wrong thing.
And we will not print onto felt — ink on fibre tips smudges within weeks — or roll a leather pad for cheaper freight. Some corners are the whole product.
The tests you can run yourself
Open your drawer of retired mouse pads and look only at the edges. Peeled seams on every one — now you know where the money goes.
Put a fingertip on your current mat and push sideways gently. If it slides on the first try, it has been sliding all along, a millimetre at a time.
Look for the bald patch under where the mouse hand rests. That is surface printing wearing off; sublimated ink cannot do it, because it is inside the fibres.
How we price
No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with the format, the material, the size in millimetres and the quantity — and the two cheapest upgrades in the category are the stitched edge and the denser base, which is why ours are standard. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one. Ask that supplier what their edge looks like at month three.
On branding
Edge-to-edge sublimated artwork on fabric. A corner deboss on leather. Embroidery or a leather patch on felt. A stitch colour chosen to match or contrast. And the honest advice we give every brand: wall-to-wall logos read as merch, corner marks read as taste, and we will show your artwork both ways in the mockup.
The desk mat is the largest branded object most employees will ever use daily. Design it like furniture, not like a flyer.
Artwork, die-lines, sizes and set contents are held on file, so seasonal counter changes and rolling onboarding reorders are one-line emails.
